An Update From Our USA Executive Director

I officially have one month under my belt as the new USA  Executive Director! I have really enjoyed connecting with so many supporters these last weeks.  I have been focusing on opportunities for new USA based events, connecting with people who want to learn more about our work, writing grant applications for crucial projects at the school.  I also recruited a talented new EFTC USA board member, Isabelle Woodrum.

Knowing the amazing work that is done at the school, and also knowing the needs that remain, I will do my very best to accomplish our goals in my new role. In order to continue expanding our opportunities and fundraising in the United States, I need and would very much appreciate your help.  You can help by:

  1. Connecting me with companies, schools, small businesses, or individuals who might be interested in getting involved.

  2. Co-hosting a fundraising event in your community. I can make organizing this very easy!

  3. Helping us recruit for our US Board of Directors. We're always on the hunt for motivated and well-connected individuals that feel passionately about our mission.

  4. Visiting or volunteering at our program here in Guatemala so you can see the impact your support has first-hand.

If you are interested in learning how you can get more involved, or already have an idea of what we can do together, contact me.

I am available to travel anywhere to attend events, meet with businesses and individuals interested in getting involved, or to give presentations to groups who want to know more about our work. If you plan to travel down to Guatemala this year, please do let me know as I would love to see you during your visit.

EFTC’s committed community is what makes our work possible and I look forward to all that we will do together this year!

Sara Miller, USA Executive Director
