Endings and New Beginnings: Transitions at the School of Hope

The changing of seasons brings with it an air of nostalgia, excitement, and growth. As we wrapped up this academic year at the School of Hope, our students gave us countless moments to cherish and be proud of.

As part of their final assessment, our students performed a choreography they had been mastering throughout September. Under the guidance of our PE teacher, Otto, our young talents showcased their moves and grooves.

Meanwhile, our 7th graders crafted boxes adorned with geometric designs, creating some stunning hologram-like projections. What a fusion of creativity and mathematical prowess!

As anticipation for the holidays increased, we took a moment to pause and reflect on the physical growth of our students. With our nurse Celena leading the way, each student eagerly checked their height and weight. It was a heartwarming sight, watching them beam with pride, realising they had grown a little taller, a touch stronger.

Then came 13th October, a bittersweet day as it marked the end of classes. But every ending is just a new beginning in disguise.

And what a beginning it was! The first day of "summer" school dawned, introducing us to some fresh faces, eager to begin their journey at the School of Hope. Their energy was infectious, setting the tone for a month filled with innovative learning. With the focus shifting to more creative strategies, our students are all set to explore new horizons, try out different ideas, and delve into diverse topics.
